In October third was the last day of the most popular music festival in Brazil since 1985. This event it called “Rock in Rio” and in this year it was the forth edition. Had been 10 years since the last one in Rio; the others that occur were in Lisbon, Portugal or Madrid, Spain. This event occurs in this big area called “Cidade do Rock” that means, city of rock in Portuguese. This place was retired for the last presentation performed, and it helped with the traffic and security.
Rock in Rio IV sold his 600 thousands tickets in less then 60 days. This edition was the hardest one to by a ticket, when it start selling the website was overload and just some people had the opportunity to buy it in that day.
The IV Rock in Rio happened September 23th to October 3th. It was a completely success with the help of big international bands/ singers such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Shakira and some popular Brazilians bands like, Claudia Leite and Jota Quest.
