The Timing is Perfect

Here at Mercersburg Academy, we eat breakfast at 7:30 and it ends at 8:50. The lunch begins at 11:55 and ends at 12:25. The dinner starts at 6:30 and ends at 7:00. Some people at the school think this time is not enough time to finish a meal, and feel hurried to do so. In my opinion, 30 minutes is plenty of time to eat a meal. As I look around the dining hall, with 5 to 10 minutes left, I notice that a majority of people are finished with their meal, or are almost finished. Also after practice the majority of the school is back to their dorm by 6 and have 30 minutes to shower and get ready. The average shower time is about 10 minutes or less, meaning you should be out of the shower around 6:15. 15 minutes is enough time to get ready if your going to dinner here, because makeup and accessories are not needed. For Monday nights, most coaches let their players out of practice early enough to be ready, which gets rid of any rush to be ready. Dinner is right after practice so you do not get hungry and before study hall so you have social time before study hall. All in all, the times of dinner are perfect and are not too long or too short.
