The character that I have chosen is General Zaroff. This character, throughout the story "the Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell, tried to pull the main character Rainsford into his little game. This game consisted of General Zaroff killing people who became ship wrecked on the island. The General does this because he feels that the normal hunting where you hunt animals is no longer a challenge. For he has hunted all things even man. When Rainsford tried to leave the General becomes offended. And then in turn Rainsford becomes the next target.
The General plays a crucial part in this story for not only is he trying to kill Rainsford but he helps Rainsford realize how it feels to be hunted. This allows us to understand that the importance of the General is extends not only to murderer or loony but also to life changer and someone who helps others realize their true selves. When Raisford was getting hunted he felt all of the fear the thought that goes through the prays mind. So in this story it is quit apparent that the General has changed Rainsfords life forever.
