„clothes make the man“
That’s what Marc Twain said.
Now I’m wondering, how can clothes make you if you have to stick to a dress code?
What, if you want to express your personality by wearing short Jeans? Or a strapless shirt? I mean, some people are really having trouble with finding some clothes in their wardrobe, that fit into the dress code, because it is not their personal style. They have to wear something they don’t like. They feel uncomfortable!
Furthermore, what is so bad about Jeans? Is it a mean trouser? Does it affect the learning effort? I don’t think so.
I understand why the dress code exists. Because students should not go into class wearing their sport clothes or when you can see too much skin. But I think, the students here would also wear reasonable clothes if there would not exist a dress code. They should already know how to dress in class.
It would make you feel freer and there are enough other rules you have to keep aware of.
